DUBLIN(IRL) – BRIXAM (ENG)

JOURNEY FEE €1000, – + BOARDING CASH €450, – PER PERSOON

The perfect way to discover the beautiful coastline of Cornwall and Devon!

During this 10-day journey from the Irish Capital Dublin the Steady goes southwards to the coast of Cornwall and Devon before heading to Brixam.

Starting in Dublin we set sail and get ready to cross the Irish Sea. The planning is to sail from Dublin to the popular maritime city of Falmouth. In the first leg of about 250 mile we also continue sailing at night. You take part in the watch system, of course guided by our standard crew. An adventurous exciting track in which you are busy with sailing manoeuvres, steering, keeping watch and navigating. As soon as we have covered this distance the coast of South Cornwall offers some more sheltered sailing and traditional harbour cities.

There are a number of beautiful harbour cities along the coast where we can stop, from the popular harbour city of Plymouth to the calmness of the river the Yealm. Our final destination is the beautiful Devonshire-village Brixham. With colourful fishermen’s houses on the hills at the waterside this is the end of a beautiful end of an exciting sailing holiday.

This sailing trip requires no sailing experience, though during the leg from Dublin to Falmouth we will continue sailing during night-time. During this part you will be part of a watch system together with the main crew. The route of this journey is determined based on wind and tide.
