During the first half of this voyage, we’ll depart from Oban, anchoring at stunning, secluded spots we encounter along the way. Once we’ve dropped anchor, we’ll take you ashore with the dinghy to explore, breathe in the fresh Highland air, and stretch your legs amidst spectacular scenery.
In the second half of the voyage, we’ll journey from west to east through the Caledonian Canal, where the majestic beauty of the Highlands unfolds before your eyes. We’ll sail across the legendary waters of Loch Ness, and you’re welcome to lend a hand with the mooring lines as we pass through the locks. While gliding through the canal, you can sit back, relax, and watch the dramatic landscapes drift by like scenes from a film. Whenever we’re moored, there are wonderful opportunities to walk along the Great Glen Way, soaking in even more of Scotland’s natural charm.

The Caledonian Canal: A Historic Journey
Opened in 1822, the Caledonian Canal is a true Scottish gem, linking the east coast with the west via a series of lochs, including the world-famous Loch Ness. Built to offer a safer alternative to Scotland’s rugged northern waters, the canal is steeped in history and brimming with natural beauty. With its charming locks and breathtaking views, this waterway is as much a journey through time as it is a passage through some of Scotland’s most dramatic landscapes.
