Whether you’re new to sailing or an experienced sailor, this short break offers a unique chance to immerse yourself in breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and unforgettable wildlife. From spotting puffins on Lunga to stepping into the historic abbey on Iona, every moment promises something special.

    Day-to-Day Programme – Highlights of Hebrides Short Break

    Day 1 – Welcome Aboard & Sail to Tobermory
    Your adventure begins in Oban on Friday, 21 May, at 10:00. After a warm welcome aboard Steady, settle into your cabin and meet your fellow travelers. We’ll then hoist the sails and head for Tobermory, Mull’s colorful harbor town.

    Along the way, learn the basics of sailing or simply relax and enjoy the views. Once in Tobermory, explore the village’s charming streets, vibrant harbor, and inviting pubs.

    Day 2 –Puffins, Staffa & Historic Iona
    Day two is full of unforgettable experiences! We start by sailing to Lunga, known as the puffin capital of the Hebrides. Watching these charming birds waddle, nest, and take flight is a magical experience and a highlight for many of our guests.

    Next, we head to Staffa, famous for its dramatic basalt columns and mysterious atmosphere. The sound of waves crashing against the cliffs creates a truly unforgettable soundtrack.

    In the afternoon, we continue to Iona, where history and tranquility meet. Explore the island’s historic abbey and soak in the serene surroundings, stepping back in time as you wander this spiritual and picturesque island.

    Day 3 – Discover Iona & Anchor in Mull’s Hidden Bay
    Start the day with a visit to Iona Abbey, surrounded by peaceful scenery and soak in the serene surroundings, stepping back in time as you wander this spiritual and picturesque island.

    Later, we sail to a secluded bay on Mull’s south coast – white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a true sense of calm. Relax, swim, or enjoy the scenery before sharing a delicious dinner onboard at sunset.

    Day 4 – Return to Oban
    On the final morning, sail back to Oban, taking in the scenery one last time. You can help with the sails or simply enjoy the gentle rhythm of the waves. We arrive in Oban by 15:00, leaving you with unforgettable memories and new friendships.

    Wildlife Encounters

    Sailing with Steady offers incredible wildlife experiences:

    • Puffins, razorbills, and guillemots along the cliffs

    • Red deer and occasional otters onshore
    • Curious seals, playful dolphins, and occasional whales, including Minke and even orcas

    Binoculars are highly recommended – you never know what might appear next!

      Onboard Catering

      Enjoy freshly prepared meals made with care by Mariëlle, using local ingredients whenever possible. Vegetarian and dietary preferences are accommodated (except vegan).
      All meals and accompanying drinks (tea, coffee, milk, orange juice) are included.

      On board, red and white wine and beer are available for purchase.
      We do not serve spirits, and we kindly ask guests not to bring any on board.

      For safety and to maintain a positive atmosphere on board, the use of drugs and excessive alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited, and alcohol is not permitted before or during sailing.


      Hands on Deck!

      This trip is all about joining in the action! Hoist sails, help in the galley, or simply enjoy laughing and sharing stories with your fellow travelers. Life onboard is lively, warm, and welcoming.

      €1,000 per person – Single Berth in Twin Cabine
      €1,500 – Twin Cabin (solo occupancy)

      Oban is accessible via Glasgow, with daily trains or buses offering scenic 4-hour journeys. Plan your travel to arrive in time for boarding at 13:30.
