On board Steady, you’ll not only enjoy spectacular views from the water but also step ashore to explore the islands on foot. Relax in peaceful anchorages, watch incredible sunsets, and marvel at starry skies that are among the best in the UK. In this voyage, the route is flexible, depending on wind and weather.

Your Sailing Area: The Hebrides
Sailing in the Hebrides means experiencing some of the most stunning and atmospheric landscapes in the UK. With Steady, the route is flexible, depending on wind and weather. We may head north to the Small Isles, or south via Mull to the Treshnish Isles.
Expect panoramic mountain views, ancient coastal castles, bustling harbors, hidden anchorages, and abundant wildlife. Every day brings new discoveries, so boredom is not an option!
Heading South: Mull, Treshnish & Staffa
Sail along Mull, Scotland’s second-largest island, known for its mountains, deep bays, and colorful villages. Stop at Tobermory, Mull’s vibrant capital, and soak up the local culture.
A true highlight is Fingal’s Cave on Staffa. On calm days, we may take the dinghy into the cave or enjoy a refreshing swim. The basalt formations and echoing waves create a magical atmosphere.
Iona, a spiritual island, offers a peaceful anchorage with turquoise waters and sandy beaches. Explore the historic abbey ruins and soak in the serene, spiritual atmosphere.
On Lunga, part of the Treshnish Isles, get up close to charming puffins – a dream for birdwatchers and nature lovers alike.
Heading North: The Small Isles
The Small Isles – Rum, Eigg, Muck, and Canna – are renowned for pristine nature, rich history, and incredible wildlife.
- Rum – dramatic volcanic peaks with the iconic Askival.
- Eigg – famous for the stunning An Sgurr hike, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding islands.
- Canna – dramatic cliffs and excellent birdwatching opportunities.
These remote islands offer a rare sense of peace and untouched nature – ideal for adventurous sailing.
Wildlife Encounters
Sailing with Steady offers incredible wildlife experiences:

Onboard Catering
Enjoy freshly prepared meals made with care by Mariëlle, using local ingredients whenever possible. Vegetarian and dietary preferences are accommodated (except vegan).
All meals and accompanying drinks (tea, coffee, milk, orange juice) are included.
One evening, we’ll dine ashore at your own expense, with the day determined by the schedule.
On board, red and white wine and beer are available for purchase.
We do not serve spirits, and we kindly ask guests not to bring any on board.
For safety and to maintain a positive atmosphere on board, the use of drugs and excessive alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited, and alcohol is not permitted before or during sailing.
Hands on Deck
Participate in sailing, help in the galley, or enjoy the camaraderie onboard. Together we create a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
