The journey day-by-day
DAY 1 – ULLAPOOL
Situated at loch Broom in the highland lays the fishing village Ullapool. You reach Ullapool via Inverness using bus or taxi (the distance is 72km, travel time by bus is 1hour 20 minutes)
On the first day we expect you on board around 17:00 o’clock. After getting to know each other you can go you your bunks and around 19:00 o’clock there’s a shared diner. Afterwards you will be informed about the upcoming travel.
DAY 2 – SUMMER ISLES
The summer isle consists of 15 islands, the biggest Island, Tanera Mòr, is the only inhabited island. This exceptional landscape is managed by the Scottish natural heritage and therefor protected against unwanted change. For spending the night we drop our anchor in a sheltered anchor bay
DAY 3 – SHIANT ISLANDS
30nm west from the Summer isles are the Shiant Islands. DAY 5 SHIANT ISLANDS
These three uninhabited islands are a fascinating destination, which we only sail to if there’s good wind. It’s allowed to visit the islands and during a hike you can admire the beautiful view. The Shaint is the nesting ground of a stunning 240000 puffins. These funny looking birds you can see up close so make sure to bring your camera! An absolute must for bird-lovers. An alternative in case the weather doesn’t allow, is Loch Gairloch, the atmosphere of Gairloch is super inviting with a lot of white beaches.
DAY 4 – LOCH TORRIDON, LOCH SHEILDAIG
The most spectacular mountainous landscape of Scotland you’ll find in loch Torridon. From off the anchor spot we can use the dinghy to get to the picturesque village of this area, Shieldaig. From Shieldaig, there is a hike to the peninsula An Aird. On this trail there is a lot of beautiful places to admire the coast, and if you’re lucky you can spot otters or herons.

DAY 5 – PLOCKTON
Undoubtedly the most attractive village of the area. Plockton is managed by the National Trust Conservation and her natural harbour offers good protection in nearly all weather conditions.
From Plockton to the narrowing, Kyle Rhea, is spectacular because of the current. Once through the current area we can set sail for different places to spend the night. Loch na dal, on Skye is one of our favourite spots, with a stunning anchor bay and an atmospheric pub.
DAY 6 – RONA
The island of Rona lays on the East side of Skye. The island is managed by a young couple and there are some holiday-homes they rent.
It is a fantastic place to spot deer, which there are plenty, and the island from above has a fable-like look over it.
DAY 7 SKYE, LOCH NA DAL
On this day there is time in the morning and early afternoon to hike on Rum and visit Kinloch Castle. Later in the afternoon we raise the Anchor en set sail for the Isle of Skye, where we arrive in the evening.
DAY 8 TOBERMORY
This will be a beautiful day of sailing to Tobermory, the colourful town on the island Mull. We will arrive here in the afternoon but there is still enough time to visit this colourful town. This is also a good place to get some souvenirs for back home!
Day 9 – KERRERA
After exploring Tobermory we will sail through the Sound of Mull to the green paradise Kerrera. Here, behind our anchor, we enjoy the last evening together during the captain’s diner!
DAY 10 – OBAN
After breakfast we raise the Anchor and sail back to Oban in about an hour. After an active 10 days in which you have enjoyed the beautiful green and water-rich surroundings we say our goodbyes around 11 o’clock.
During our travels, our destinations are determined according to the nautical weather report. This way you’ll have the optimal relaxed holiday, and you will see plenty of the beautiful nature.
