Medemblik

Locatie schip: Oosterhaven, Medemblik

  • Parkeren: Gratis parkeren is mogelijk in de jachthavenzone van Medemblik
  • Openbaar vervoer: Vanaf treinstation Hoorn kun je met de bus naar Medemblik.

 

Inverness

Locatie schip: Seaport Marina, Muirtown Wharf, Inverness 

Luchthaven: Inverness Airport.

  • Bus: Vanaf de luchthaven kun je lijn 11 / 11A nemen naar het stadscentrum van Inverness. Reistijd circa 30–40 minuten

Taxi: Neem een taxi vanaf de luchthaven naar de marina; reistijd circa 20–30 minuten.

 

Oban

Locatie schip: North Pier Pontoons, Oban — 5 minuten lopen van het trein-en busstation.

  • Vlieg naar Glasgow Airport (GLA) en vervolg de reis naar Oban.
    • Met trein: Neem de Glasgow Airport Express‑bus (~15 minuten) naar Glasgow Central / Queen Street, dan trein naar Oban. Reistijd circa 3 uur (afhankelijk van verbindingen).
    • Met bus: Rechtstreekse busverbindingen van Glasgow Airport naar Oban via Citylink; reistijd circa 3 uur à 3 ½ uur.
    • Taxi: Taxi van de luchthaven naar Glasgow city centre kost gemiddeld £25–£30; vanaf daar trein of bus naar Oban.

 

Ullapool 

Locatie schip: Ullapool Marina — 5 minuten lopen van de bushalte/ferrypier

  • Vlieg naar Inverness Airport, verblijf eventueel een dag in Inverness, en vervolg de reis naar Ullapool.
  • Bus: Neem lijn 961 (door o.a. Citylink) van Inverness naar Ullapool Ferry Terminal. Reistijd ongeveer 1 uur 20 minuten; prijs vanaf circa £10
  • Taxi: Reistijd ongeveer 1 ¼ uur; vooraf reserveren aanbevolen voor beschikbaarheid/prijs.

 

Stornoway  

Locatie schip: Esplanade Quay, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis

Vanuit Stornoway kun je het vasteland van Schotland bereiken, zowel voor aankomst als voor terugreis:

  • Vlucht: Directe vlucht van Stornoway (SYY) naar Inverness (INV) via onder andere Loganair; vliegduur circa 40 minuten.
  • Veerboot: Caledonian MacBrayne (CalMac)‑veerverbinding van Stornoway naar Ullapool. Reistijd circa 2 uur 40 minuten; voetpassagiersprijzen vanaf ongeveer £9.

When my partner picked up your brochure in Hoorn at your boot I had had 3 days to decide if  I join him at a trip through the Inner Herbrides. I never regret this decision it was a great week at your Steady. The accomodation, the boot in a very good condition, the meals, the sailing and the islands and of course you made this week unforgettable. Many thanks for this outstanding week, I will never forget this.

In April 2018 we have been visiting Hoorn, the home of the Steady. What a beautiful looking yacht inviting us for a sailing holiday.

Mariëlle was on board and painting to keep the boat in best condition. After a chat we got some more information about the “Steady”.

The following year we have booked our trip and started in July 2018 from Oban to explore many of the stunning places and islands in Scotland.

Jan-Willem (the Skipper) and Mariëlle have been working hard to give us the best value of our trip. Mariëlle’s cooking was outstanding, you could taste that the food has been prepared with love.

The crew is highly professional, kind and very sympathetic.

Many thanks to both of you, we have enjoyed every moment …

There is nothing better than to smell the see, feel the wind, watch the clouds and “YES”respect the power of the nature … it makes you feeling better …
